For a start here is the link to all you need to know about traveling and living in Australia http://www.immi.gov.au/
and the UK http://www.ukimmigration.com/Where can I find information on traveling and living abroad?Sounds like you have a very exciting plan in mind, congratulations! There are several books that explain how to travel and live in Europe and many other countries, however, I would suggest that if you plan to work at a different location and move and travel a lot, you better start looking for a job in the US within a multinational company. I did that and have had the chance to move 4 times in the last 6 years. Additionally, I have visited almost every country in Latin America, several in Europe, Asia and Australia. Several coworkers have had the chance to live in China, Italy, Brazil, Singapore, Geneva and many more, all employees have the same possibilities. The best of it is that the company pays for all your moving expenses, you have a job, a work visa and also a good team looking forward to help you at the new destination. I know your plan is probably more adventurous but believe me, if you love to travel and want to do it in a smart way this is not a bad idea. Europe and Japan are particularly expensive and their job markets are very competitive. If you don麓t speak their languages you may not be such a good candidate.. unless you work for an American company!. Finding a job in the US and moving with them overseas is an easier way that will give you lots of traveling opportunities and the tranquility of having a job and a work permit to start at each location.
Good luck !
PS. Another idea is to work for Kontiki tours and travel, I think their headquarters are in the UK. They are a travel agency that offers tours for people 18-35 years old around the world. They hire young people to work at their camps. People has the chance to move to a different camp within a certain period of time. This would only last until you are 35 because they don麓t hire older people and also you may not use your civil engineer degree, jobs offered there are more for people without a formal education. I麓m more inclined for the first suggestion :)
