What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station?

My fiance is graduating from training and going to his duty station. Can anybody tell me what information we need to have in order for the kids and I to go with him? What do we need to do to get a house on base? Will there be a waiting period? What is base living like? What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station?Once you are married, he will need to take a copy of your wedding license and all your social security cards (be sure the kids have them) and I always have birth certificates as well and go enroll you in DEERS, add you to his page 2 and get you an ID. Once that is done, they can add you to his orders. For the military to pay for you to move with him, you have to be on the orders. Once you are, he will contact the TMO office on his new base and they will set up pack out dates for your belongings and arrange travel for you and the kids (unless you decide to drive so as to have your car with you). Since your husband will just be getting to his first base, more than likely you will have to handle the packing and getting out there on your own....not trying to scare you but have you be prepared! Once he has orders listing you and the kids, he can apply for base housing. Most bases do have waiting lists, depending on the size house you need and your spouse's rank, so I would also have him start to look around for an apartment or rental property as well. Until the past year, we always lived on base when we could. Air Force (which we are) housing is usually really nice, with good rec facilities. It is the safest place to live in many areas, although be sure to check the school district the kids on base use..some may be struggling. What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station?
Until you are married you won't be able to get base housing.

You have to travel on your own money as well till you are married. What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station? You cant live on base if your not married. What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station?
You will need to be married to go with him through the military. If not, you pay your own way and he/she still must live in the barracksWhat information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station? Most bases have a waiting list for junior enlisted housing. You'll need to be married for him to request base housing (unless the kids are already enrolled as his dependents, in which case he can request housing as a single parent). What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station?
what base are you moving too? you will need al vital records for u and the kids and you have to get married. the base determines whether there is a waiting period. and i love base housing. What information do I need in order to move to my fiances duty station?
he will need to request an ORDMOD once he arrives at the duty station. they do NOT have to grant it, which means that they do NOT have to pay to move you there. you would be considered as being obtained in transit.

base housing waiting lists will vary from location and are based on paygrade and bedroom entitlement. the wait list can be 2 years or longer. If he cannot get his orders rewritten to say accompanied, you are not eligible to reside in base housing.
