How can I see through censored adoption information?

My mother received some adoption information that has data censored. It's a copy of the original with information censored with a black marker. Is there any trick/products/hints on seeing the information underneath? Holding the paper up to a bright light does not show much. We used to do this for legal evidence, and unless the person blacked out the original copy badly... most likely you won't be able to see anything at all. just a thought.... i believe the laws have changed in 7/8 states and records are now open. if she lives in one of those states and got the information before the change was made, maybe she could ask for it again.



hate to say it, but if you were to go to the courthouse or wherever it was sent from, PERSONALLY... you might be able to persuade some low paying staff member to show you the original. i know a friend who did that. money talks.
