Where can I find information on auditions for presenters?

I would like a job in broadcasting as a presenter. If you google auditions for presenters, you find sites that either charge a bomb, or say you need an agent.

I know this is not always the case- shopping channels need presenters alot surely, and how about private broadcasts who just need a face for their programme?

If anyone has information (constructive information, if possible) I would be grateful.Where can I find information on auditions for presenters? As long as you have experience its always easier however newcomers are not in that position, agents are no good to newcomers either. However its a catch 22 really, although if you believe you have what it takes it WILL involve YOU investing in yourself and your new future career. I have been helping newcomers for the past 20+ years and have a free advice section on my website www.presenterpromotions.com A showreel is going to needed too. One of our services is called The Presenters Club and that offers job vacancy information.

Shopping TV presenting is not easy, its live, its un-edited and hard work. You could see if a local college or university could use you in their student productions maybe. Ideally volunteer as a hospital radio presenter, you will gain lots of experience and learn the trade and make your mistakes to a smaller audience. Noel Edmonds and Dale Winton were hospital radio DJs, so its a good route to follow. Lots of luck to you.
