What information comes up on a background check?

I am applying to jobs which require a background check to be done. What information shows up about you when an employer does a background check on you? What information comes up on a background check?A criminal background check comes up with all charges filed against you as an adult and every adult with the same name. Time is required to sort out which person is which.

Depending on how the search was done, it could pop up every case you filed or had filed against you (both criminal and civil). Most searches are limited to either your county or state of residence-not every state has all the court records in a single database. Job applications ask for previous employment and schools attended to know where to concentrate their search for the background check.

Juvenile cases are sealed, but that only means people can not look at the records without permission from the judge. Getting this permission is quite difficult for outsiders; so most searches do not bother with juvenile records. When applying to become employed in law enforcement or a job requiring government security clearance, they will investigate everything. What information comes up on a background check?Anything that would prevent you from getting that job. Arrest records, warrants, credit reports, etc.

And no, there is no website out there that will provide free background checks. What information comes up on a background check?most everything

credit checks
