How long do they estimate that information will be recoverable from hard drives?

Do they even know how long information can stay "intact" and recoverable from a hard drive in normal temperature, pressure, and humidity? How long do they estimate that information will be recoverable from hard drives?Well, hard drives from the 1950's still work. As long as the mechanisms inside the drive don't break, they are readable for pretty much forever. As long as we have the information on the file system used (NTFS, FAT32, etc.), we can open and read the data. Especially nowadays with the internet allowing pretty much all information to be shared instantaneously and simultaneously. How long do they estimate that information will be recoverable from hard drives?Long enough that they wouldn't bother doing a study on it.

The actual information inside a hard drive is (usually) on disks that are protected by an outer case. Most of the components are metal. I'd imagine it'd last for a pretty long time.
