Where can I find basic information about the coast guard?

I am interested in joining the coast guard, but I want more information on the ranks, how you move up, and different job opporotunities. I have tried the coast guard website, but it doesn't really give in-depth information about the different jobs and their requirements. I was wondering where I could find more detailed, easy-to-read information.
