How do I translate the date information on beer labels, both foreign and domestic?

I am looking for some general references that translate the various formats and codes used by a variety of different breweries. I know that there are a multitude of formats used, so any information is helpful. How do I translate the date information on beer labels, both foreign and domestic?most of time you cant, unless it is an obvious one like Bud. Most others use "codes" and the beer reps carry special books to deciepher the codes. ab etter hint, especially on the BIG beers is to look at the package. Is it a football package in summer? A gold package in winter? etc.How do I translate the date information on beer labels, both foreign and domestic?Well, certain beers have an obvious date on them, like Bud Light has their "Born on" date. A lot of the others use letters and numbers. Usually, the letters are nothing more than barcodes for which bottles go in what box. You should pay more attention to what the box says than what the bottle says. And some bottles have numbers...usually the numbers are two numbers for months and 2 or 4 numbers for the years
