Either do a WebEx demo, if you know how to use it, or create a strong visual explanation of the top software packages with PowerPoint. Keep the message as simple as possible - many managers have short attention spans, so try bulletting three "selling" and/or "deal-breaking" points about each one and then come up with a top three for them to decide on.What is a good way to present information on various vendors to upper management?I would invite the vendors to a "show and tell" conference at your company at which they would give presentations on their product solutions and demonstrate them. Of course everybody is invited from your company, but few may attend, especially the managers because they're so busy. Not to worry though, since the vendors agree in advance to allow you to record their show and tell demos with a camcorder.
Then, when you finally get to brief the managers that didn't make it to the vendor conference, you can use all the multimedia materials you got from the conference to build a good presentation for them.
