What information should i include in my first letter to my adopted soldier?

i just adopted a soldier...and need to write my first letter. What information should i include? Please help. What information should i include in my first letter to my adopted soldier?are you doing this as just a friend or as a potential soul mate???

I would keep it light chatty and not too many revealing details about your self........nutters are every where and you should keep things at a comfy level for every one.

edit yes 5150 I agree if you have a link please post it....What information should i include in my first letter to my adopted soldier?A little bit about yourself, like your hometown and what you do for a living, and stuff like why you're adopting a soldier. If you went out of your way to adopt a soldier, you must have a kind heart and sense of loyalty for those who do what we can't in a place we don't want to be. Let him or her know what makes you appreciate them. Ask them about themselves, see the person within the uniform. Later on, offer to let them tell you the kinds of things they can't tell each other or their worried families. You'll get attached to your hero, make sure they know it. Thank you for doing what more of us should.

Maybe you can post instructions on how to adopt so more Americans can step up like you did.
