I am renting a room from someone who is subletting a room. I have already given them the information on my driver's license, but they are still requesting a color photocopy. Is this within their legal right? But...you're probably not going to get satisfactory answers. Just give them the copy and write the word "VOID" across the license picture so they can't use it for any other purposes. And get information about what they will do with your personal information once they collect it.
